Lynette convinced me to go on a short hike around Sodwana Bay. I´m never sure if we have the same definition of "short". Finally it was wonderful to walk through the forest and watch the birds and monkeys.
From Sodwana we travelled to Kosi Bay, 10 Km away from the border to Mozambik. We discovered the nicest campsite, direct at Kosi Lake. A storm which added a lot of sand to our equipment made us move to Kosi Bay Lodge. I was craving walls and a roof. And a bar with beer.
After the storm the sandroads were wet, so everybody told us: "No problem to drive to Kosi Mouth!". Said and done. We managed to get direct to Kosi Mouth on very difficult roads. I got successfully stuck in the parking area...
Luckily two guys from the health-department came along and helped us getting out.
Then our plans changed. The offer, to join a small group for visiting the bushmen in Botswana, let us drive down to PE in two days. We spent one night in the Royal-Hotel in Durban and the next in a backpacker lodge in Port St. John.
A wonderful contrast.
